I went on an adventure with some fellow photogs while stretching my legs as a Washington DC documentary photographer in the museums and on the mean streets of DC.
We started the day in the National Museum of Natural History. It was dark and flash is not allowed, but I loved the challenge. Thankfully, even though it’s dark there are many sources of light from the exhibits. You just have to be patient which is a good practice for me since I’ve totally failed at wildlife photography. Too much sitting and waiting. I crave action! 🙂
This was actually a lot of fun. It had been a long time since I just went out for shits and giggles, and photographed whatever I pleased. Glad I made the hike, and glad that Amber put the photowalk together! She has a website in the works to organize more of these, and since I love going into DC, it’s a good excuse to take the day and create. DC makes my heart go pitter-patter!My first stop was the marine exhibits. I was immediately drawn to the big blue wall. I love blue. The stick bug totally reminds me of the crab from Finding Nemo:). I regret not holding the bugs. Next time! Maybe. LolMy museum buddy, Etchi. We explored the museum together using each other when we couldn’t wait for someone else to step in the perfect spot. Then out to the sunshine around Gallery Place and Chinatown! There’s Amber photographing an oddly place random bible. Kind of cool.We were lucky to have an awesome street band to photograph. And the protesters standing in front of the Verizon Center where the Ringling Brothers Circus was about to start. Everyone one of those kitties had a moving arm, and for some reason I was drawn to them. And I’m a dog person! LolI want to remember this restaurant. Just a hole in the wall place, but so interesting! The chef in the window was making fresh noodles “on the spot”. 🙂Looking for a Washington DC photographer to document your special occasion?
