Sofia and Brent had their wedding reception at the amazing Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland. I’m sharing this photo first, because I can and I love it and you should see it in all its glory. 🙂
Brent and Sofia met their senior year at the University of Maryland six years prior to their wedding day, and exactly one year after they got engaged. That should help someone remember their wedding date. 🙂
Naturally, Brent and Sofia wanted to incorporate their UMD pride into the wedding day. What better way than actually getting married on campus at the University of Maryland Memorial Chapel.
When I joined Sofia and her girls at Bethesda North Marriott Hotel, they were all in matching robes, and just hanging out and laughing – cool as cucumbers. You have to make sure your Wobble game is tight, so make sure you get some practice in. 😉I stepped in the room to see Brent holding a “how to tie a bow tie” session with his groomsmen and dad. No clip-on’s here!Always time for a selfie after you have successfully tied your bow tie.Sofia’s sister gave her as a pre-wedding gift, a notebook of letters she gathered from the women from both sides of the families that were now connected by Sofia and Brent marrying. There were words of love, welcoming, support, wisdom and memories. Not a dry eye in the room.Seriously. Sofia is gorgeous. Add a window and we have magic. The girls all demure and lady like, while the guys wanted pictures with the hummer limo. LolI love wedding cakes, and this one was made by Sofia’s parents long time neighbor. Sofia and Brent’s reception venue, the Music Center at Strathmore, was freaking amazing with its modern and dramatic 6-story glass wall flooding the room with natural light.Sofia’s sister and maid of honor, serenaded the couple with the theme song from Growing Pains while a slide show of old family pictures played for the guests. Time to put that practice to use! 🙂I don’t know about you, but I love a good Soul Train dance line!• Florist: DaVinci Florist
