Ady and John danced the night away at John’s Maryland childhood home during their intimate backyard wedding.
Ady and John traveled back to John’s hometown to tie the knot, surrounding themselves with family and friends. This truly was a chance for everyone to get together, talk, share a meal and have a good time. Their wedding was DIY to the fullest! Friends put together the sunflower chuppa, and bouquets. John made the entrée for the reception, a pesto lasagna. Family and friends made the pies for dessert. Mmmmm, pie. Ady and John made their celestial inspired wedding rings for each other. You can’t get any more DIY than that!
It takes a village to ready a bride. Ady was pampered and treated like a princess as friends and family did her up. 🙂So it rained. A lot. And heavy. But that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. This group was so easy going! They were headed over to the neighbors house to meet the boys for some quick photos before the ceremony. Then he saw her…I was lucky to have Tara of Tara Hope Photography to join us for the day. It was a small miracle that the rain stopped just long enough for the ceremony to start. Once again, everyone pitched in to dry the seats off.I get a little choked up thinking about John’s parents walking him down the aisle in the same backyard he played in as a child. I can imagine all the memories running through their heads. You aren’t seeing double! John has an identical twin. Thank goodness they wore different color ties. 🙂A storm was a-comin’.Pie!And then the clouds parted for the most incredible sunset!
