Sarah and Alex were married just this past weekend at the beautiful and historic Frederick Maryland wedding venue, Ceresville Mansion. Stick around for a rambunctious performance of Bohemian Rhapsody and my new dance floor favorite, Time Warp. Ceresville Mansion is SO BEAUTIFUL. Tt reminded Sarah of the turn of the century colonial home she grew up in. So that plus their awesome service and the beautiful terrace sealed the deal!“I get by with a little help from my friends…”Goes perfect with coffee:)I was loving the light in the rooms at Ceresville Mansion! The ketubah they chose reminded me of a chalk drawing. It was gorgeous! The garden terrace with reflecting pool and pergola were impressive! I can just imagine the different seasons. I hope to see them all! 🙂So I have to tell the story along with the pictures of the lighting of the unity candle. Everything was fine. The moms were able to do their part, and now it was Sarah and Alex’s turn. The faintest breeze came along…..But miracles of all miracles! This would be the TARDIS ring box, giving Doctor Who fans something to “ahh and oooo” over.Sarah and Alex DIY’ed the majority of their reception decorations. From Sarah, “we’re gigantic nerds and we wanted to include that as our ceremony theme (I call it Geek Chic). Our table themes are different shows/movies/video games that we love as a couple and a lot of our decorations are either comic or music related since they’re important to us.” A Portal card box. They made the little paper roses using comics and sheet music. Instead of numbered tables, the guests were directed to the Marvel’s table or Assassins Creed. I personally would have been torn between The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Indiana Jones. 🙂The TARDIS makes another appearance, but this time in chocolate.Everyone should recognize this cake topper on the delicious SugarBakers cake. Just in case….this would be the famous exchange between Hans Solo and Princess Leia in the little film known as Star Wars. Can I just tell you how delicious the food was! Breakfast foods are my favorite! Made to order omelets!Sarah and Alex had a game of sorts during their wedding. Instead of the tradition of guest clinking glasses for them to kiss, they had their guests work for it. Alex of Dapper DJs held a box of different tasks the guests had to perform for the couple to kiss. A good old game of hand slap with a happy ending.“Who wants a shot?!”This would be the beginnings of Time Warp. Everyone seemed to slip into a character from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.Good thing Sarah changed out her heels for some blue chucks. She never left the dance floor! For the next series of pictures you should turn on Bohemian Rhapsody. I bet you could figure out where in the song each of these pictures were captured.
