Bolger Center Wedding | Vanessa + Dave

Vanessa and Dave had sunny skies and puffy clouds for their wedding day at the Bolger Center in Potomac, Maryland.

The day started with the ladies getting beautified by Alison Harper & Company. It was a bevy of activity! Eyelashes were flying and everyone was enjoying the hairspray fumes. 😉
Vanessa wore her great-grandmother’s cameo. The necklace really completed the dress and gave Vanessa such a timeless look. Even better than that, it had sentimental value. I was joined by the talented West Virginia photographer, Doug Pettway. He had the pleasure of capturing the struggles of the bow-tie. It takes many hands, but they persevered.  Stunning. Really no other words can describe this bride only moments before having a first look with her groom. Yay for ballet flats on your wedding day! I had Vanessa trekking all over the place. 🙂The love just oozes out of Dave when he looks at her. Vanessa mentioned in her vows that before she met Dave she had a silent laugh, but now she laughs out loud thanks to him. I love that – being a loud laugher myself. 🙂Vanessa and Dave had their first look so they could sign the Ketubah together with their friends and parents present. The chuppah was made from a piece of Vanessa’s mom’s wedding dress. The fabric billowed beautifully in the breeze while four friends held the bamboo posts. Someone’s excited!Rochester, NY & Washington, DC are their hometowns, so they used postcards from both destinations for their guests to leave well wishes to them.Cakkkeeee. I love cake and I love pictures of cake. It’s silly, I know. Vanessa and Dave’s cake was from BCakes by BKeith. Love this photobomb:)The real life band, Retrospect, entertained the guests and kept the dance floor hopping!A family friend serenaded the couple with Cole Porter classic, It’s De-lovely.Time for the horah, and time for me to get right in the middle of everything. My favorite place:)That would be Dave offering me a bite of cake after they had their ceremonial bites. What you don’t see is me leaning in with my mouth open. Lol

Just in case you’re wondering, I did not really take the bite, but Dave did practically lick the plate. Must be some good cake! She’s curious to see what’s under there, too.• Florist: The Little Flower Bud
